Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HOANavigator and the website at gethoanavigator.com (the "Service"), operated by Energy Pool ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service does
HOANavigator reads homeowners association (HOA) governing documents you provide and returns plain-language information about what those documents say — for example, who is responsible for maintaining certain components, what may require approval, and what may be subject to fines. The Service summarizes and points to what your documents state.
Not legal, financial, or professional advice
The Service provides information, not advice. It is not a substitute for a lawyer, accountant, or other professional. We report what your documents appear to say and point you to the source; we do not tell you what to do, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome. For decisions with legal or financial consequences, consult a qualified professional.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the documents and information you submit, and for having the right to submit them.
- You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt to access it in unauthorized ways, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Documents you submit
You retain ownership of the documents you submit. By submitting them, you grant us a license to use, process, store, and analyze them to provide and improve the Service, including to develop and improve our models, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request deletion of your submitted materials as described there.
Accuracy and availability
We work to make the Service useful and accurate, but document analysis can be incomplete or wrong, and governing documents vary widely. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Energy Pool and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service (which, for free use, is zero).
Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
